For over 20 years, Adam has worked in the environmental consulting industry and has had the opportunity to support and manage projects for a number of various clients throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, including local and county governments, private landowners & developers, the energy sector, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Defense.
From a natural resource perspective, Adam has conducted hundreds of aquatic resource investigations, including stream and wetland delineations, with a committed focus on the proper identification and documentation of resources. Adam understands the various regional differences (particularly between Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia) that exist between federal, state and local environmental permit applications and has prepared and submitted numerous report documents and applications in each of those states, for permit approvals. Adam has also conducted Phase I Environmental site assessments and worked on a number of RCRA sites where he was responsible for field leadership and general oversight of surface and subsurface soil, sediment, and groundwater sample collection.
Adam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Management from Duquesne University. Adam is a registered Professional Wetland Scientist (#2707) and is an active member of the Society of Wetland Scientists and The Association of State Wetland Managers. Adam is currently serving as the Pennsylvania Representative for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of The Society of Wetland Scientists and is the President-Elect for 2020-2021. In addition, Adam has also obtained certifications or advanced training for the following: OSHA 40-Hour Hazwopper Training, OSHA 8-Hour Hazwopper Training (2007-present), Ohio Rapid Assessment Method for Wetlands, ODOT Office of Environmental Services - Ecological Training, ODOT Ecological/Waterway Permits Training, and Ohio Wetland Bio-Criteria Training. He previously held a Type II Wildland Firefighter certification as part of seasonal education and employment in Yellowstone National Park.
